[edit] Storyline
The Pillar of Autumn is in orbit around a ring by the name of Halo. All weapons are offline, and the Covenant forces are landing on the ship, it looks like the end for the UNSC, but when all seems lost, Captain Keyes orders Spartan 117 to duty. They call him Master Chief, he is one of the only surviving spartan left. He is the Master of killing, and he is unleashed on the Covenant. Master Chief helps the crew of the Pillar of Autumn escape using the life pods, and lets Captain Keyes to land the ship on the massive ring Halo. As Master Chief hits the ground in the life pod, he explores the immediate area for other humans, and finds some. However, without Captain Keyes you cannot escape the ring. So, Master Chief boards the Covenant Ship, Truth and Reconcilliation, and gets the captain. But, the captain takes what is left of the crew and attacks what he believes to be an enemy ammo storage facility, but, little does he know that he is attacking an instilattion that holds the flood, mutated beings,. The captain and the rest of the crew is soon killed. So, Master Chief must find another way off the planet. But, a oracle named 343 Guilty Spark tries to activate the Ring halo, and destroy all the sentient beings across the galaxy. So, Master Chief and his accomplice Cortana find the Pillar of Autumn' crash site, and then activate a reaction within the engines, that causes the ring, and the planet to be wiped clean of all life. But Master Chief finds a lone, Fighter in the hangar bay, and flies at top speed away from the ring. He then watches as the ring is obliterated. The flood is wiped out and all remaining crew are killed, the Covenant as well. But this fight is not over, it is just beginning.

- Master Chief- Spartan 117, only Spartan II present in this Halo. There are others.
- Cortana- A combat AI. Master Chief uses Cortana to do things with computers, tactics, etc. The Master Chief has been charged with keeping her from the Covenant.
- Captain Keyes- Captain of the Pillar of Autumn. Dies when he is consumed by the Flood.
- Marines- Military forces aboard the Pillar of Autumn, fight with Master Chief, but are all killed by the Flood.
- Crew- The Pillar of Autumn' crew is taken by the Covenant and killed.
- Covenant- Alien forces that are at war with the UNSC.
- UNSC- Humans from Earth.
- Flood- Mutated beings that are on the ring world Halo.
